Homeward bound – Saint Malo via Rennes

Second Visit to Angers

The weather is overcast today as we say good bye to Limoges at 10am following a lovely buffet breakfast although we didn’t participate in bacon, scrambled eggs and bake beans on offer but enjoyed the croissants fruit and yoghurts all

Warm day and china in Limoges

Setting off fairly early in the morning, we had a lovely scenic route with the wind blowing through our hair as the blue sky’s meant we could  have the roof down. Passing through several towns and villages including Thiviers, and Chalus  treating ourselves

Hunt for breakfast and sight seeing

Breakfast in the sunshine the following morning took some finding.  Eventually we found a cafe opposite the hotel over looking the river and have the last four croissants before Andy purchases  some extra ones from the boulangerie down the road.

Village Martyr and Brantome

After managing a 5k run we just make it in time for a self service self breakfast, with breads, croissants, cakes, fruit cereals yoghurt’s and eggs and the usual strong french coffee and weak tea. With suitcases packed and the bill settled
